Getting Fresh on Jefferson

After an amazing first day in Ferndale, we had a few weeks to listen back to the unmixed tracks and gear up for the next few sessions which would take place across town at Get Fresh Studio.

It was an instant vibe with our engineer Chris, who was not only kind and welcoming but also knew how to work with the young artists to bring out their best in the booth.

This session bounced between rap tracks, overdubs, harmonies, and the album’s lone cover song, “I’m Tired” by Labrinth and Zendaya.

At one point while A’niya was layering harmonies in the booth, the studio owner in and asked, inquisitively: “Who’s that?”

The answer is, that’s the future of music in Detroit.
